Community Action Funds
Uplift our community through the Community Action Funds
With rising operating costs, reduced revenues and skyrocketing demand for services, local charitable organizations rely deeply on donor generosity. Because there are so many wonderful organizations uplifting our community, you may not know where to direct your donations. While there are many ways to make a gift through the Victoria Foundation, giving to a Community Action Fund is an easy and simple way to make a meaningful difference.
How does it work?
You know what causes matter most to you and we know the organizations making an impact on the ground. Simply choose from our ten Community Action Funds that support a range of cause areas. Your generous gift will be pooled with other donors’ gifts and then collectively granted to different organizations working within that cause area following the principles of Trust-based philanthropy. They will receive funding through the Community Grants Program and other equitable granting initiatives.
The Community Action Funds
As a broad-based funder, we support a diverse range of charitable organizations working to address the most pressing needs in our community. From food security and mental health to housing and affordability, we recognize that the challenges our community faces are interconnected. By supporting multiple areas of need, we aim to create a stronger, healthier and more equitable community for all. In 2024, $580,952 was granted to 40 organizations through the Community Action Funds thanks to the generosity of donors.
