Food security is essential for a healthy, thriving community

It ensures everyone has reliable access to affordable, nutritious food. This supports physical and mental wellbeing and improves overall quality of life. Strong local food systems also enhance community resilience, strengthen the local economy and promote sustainability. Across our region, many charitable organizations are working together to improve access to healthy, affordable and culturally appropriate food. Their efforts boost local food production, food waste reduction and skills training and employment.

Ten years later, the Foundation is taking stock of successes, learnings and looking at what comes next.
