Healthy minds and bodies empower lives

When individuals are healthy in body and mind, they’re better equipped to care for their families, contribute to their communities and pursue their aspirations. Uplifting health and wellness is not just about survival, it’s about empowering people to thrive. There are many organizations in our region that are improving access to vital services addressing a myriad of issues including chronic illness, mental health, physical literacy, pre- and post-natal care and more.

Support Health and Wellness

There are a number of ways you can support health and wellness in our community, including:

Pedalling for inclusion and wellbeing

Cycling Without Age Society brings joy to adults from care homes and neurodiverse students for delightful “trishaw” bike rides along some of the Saanich Peninsula’s most picturesque streets. These exciting journeys enhance riders’ wellbeing by connecting them to the beautiful outdoors and their communities.

Thriving with Dementia

The Alzheimer Society of B.C. offers support, information and education for people affected by dementia. “We foster inclusion and community to help combat isolation and loneliness, ensuring people feel understood and supported.”
