Taryn joined the Foundation in 2022, bringing more than a decade of experience in communications strategy and content development to her role on the communications team. After studying communications at the University of Toronto, she worked in public relations and ecotourism in Latin America before returning to Vancouver Island. Taryn specializes in non-profit communications and has worked for the Downtown Victoria Business Association, the Victoria Hospitals Foundation, and the South Island Prosperity Partnership. She is passionate about helping community organizations tell their stories and believes strongly in aligning her values with her daily work. When she’s not working, Taryn can be found exploring local forests and beaches.
