The Eddie Reid Memorial Library Society wishes to improve and expand the children and youth services at Saturna Library, making the library a vibrant, interesting, and attractive place to attend, and thereby encouraging literacy, fostering a habit of reading, and supporting local school and pre-school programs. Since the community is rural and isolated, the library has a central role in providing access to all levels of reading and research materials for children and youth.
